Tragedy Biography
Tragedy.... born Ryun Renard Chandler on November 29, 1988 is a native Baltimorean who always knew he had a message to share with others.
At the tender age of thirteen this desire lead Ryun to writing and recording his own rap lyrics.
Rapping for over eight years and influenced by Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z and Lupe Fiasco; he knows what it takes as a young artist in the business of Hip Hop to be successful which is to surround yourself with people who are willing to mentor and work just as hard and never being afraid to eliminate family and friends that do not share your same vision.... "If you only look at what is, you might never attain what could be."
Over the years growing in the industry, he has worked hard perfecting his craft and gaining confident as a solo artist while maturing in the business. He's battled against other young artist from Philly, New York, Atlanta, & Alabama; as well as performed in various venues in the metropolitian area.
His first mixed tape was complete in 2007 titled Laugh Now Cry Later, followed by Charm City Best Kept Secret in 2008 and his recent 2009 mixed tape 3scape the Norm.
Graduated from Edmonson- Westside High School followed by attending West Virginia University Institute for two years.
As an up and coming new artist in Baltimore City, he gives credit to his mentors Charles David (Czar); and Mark Davis (SEEN).
He has a local buzz in Baltimore City with a large fan base. Current member of Y.H.G.M. (Yung Hustlerz Getting Money) under Mark Clarke Jr. aka Lucky.
